Are black Bermudians afraid of the news media?

MOST black people in Bermuda are MORE afraid of the news media than they are of developing cancer and dying. I arrive at this extreme conclusion after years of working in the public relations/media industry. And yes, I am black, but this is less important right now. The paradox is that the media is often the one avenue in our society that has the power to aide people of color — especially in times of controversy. Nelson Hunt radio rant exposes hypocrisy of BEST environmentalists

IN MY opinion, the easiest way to become a hero (or heroine) to the “best” people in Bermuda is to publicly criticize Dr. Ewart Brown. Just recently, Nelson Hunt, one of the partners of Southlands Ltd. spent at least forty uninterrupted minutes on the Everest DaCosta show berating Premier and Tourism Minister, Dr. Brown for his handling of the Southlands land swap.
