AS of 6 tonight, the number of BELCO customers without power was just 400 — more than 50 percent less than the morning’s estimate of 1,280.

Distribution at 9:00 PM (Thursday)

Central – 155
East – 165
West – 80

Work planned for tomorrow:
Pearmans Hill
North Shore Hamilton Parish
Penno’s Drive
Loyal Hill Pass
Watlington Road East
Jennings Road
Bostock Hill
Chapel of Ease
Tee Street
DeSilva Close
Wellington Back Road
Hermitage Road

In addition to scheduled work, two crews continue to work Island-wide on
the easiest jobs.

We are grateful to both Bermuda Telephone Company
(BTC) and Cablevision for their assistance, as each has loaned BELCO a
bucket truck for these jobs.

Again we advise that each remaining job each may require considerable
work to restore power to a small number of customers.

Also, as customers are brought online, those who have power may lose it briefly,
during switching to energize lines.

BELCO does understand that this is difficult for customers who remain
without power, and we thank them for their patience, as our crews work

We will provide update in the morning.
