46-inch tv, video games stolen in rash of burglaries

Around 11:30pm on Saturday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Ballast Point Road, St. George’s residence. It appears that sometime between 10:30am and 11pm that day an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a 42” Panasonic flat screen TV. Man had weapon pulled on him, robbed

Around 1:30am on Friday, Police received a report of a robbery. It appears that the victim, a 25 year old Paget man, was walking along Gorham Road in Pembroke when he was accosted by two unknown men on a motorcycle. One of the suspects brandished a bladed article and demanded money before both suspects left the scene with the victim’s wallet containing personal items as well as a BlackBerry cellular phone. WITH Paula Cox confirmed as the next Premier… ZBM’s Gary Moreno sat down with outgoing Premier Ewart Brown on Wednesday, to talk about allegations of mismanagement of the budget for the TCD vehicle safety & emissions project. Instead of costing the estimated $5 million, the scheme cost taxpayers $15 million. Dr. Brown defended his criticism of the Auditor General who released the damning report. Here, Dr. Brown says it’s not accurate to say the project’s costs overran by $10 million.
