Just one week remains until the PGA Grand Slam of Golf at Port Royal and the Bermuda Department of Tourism (BDOT) is airing a program on CITV to get the public ready.

“Grand Slam: Coming Soon” is now playing every day of the week – Monday to Friday at 9.30.a.m., 6.30 p.m. and 2.30 a.m.; Saturday to Sunday 10.00 a.m., 6.00 p.m., and 2.00 a.m.

The program discusses the international exposure of the golf event, the Bermudians who contribute to the mammoth logistical operation, the impact the Grand Slam has on public golf in Bermuda and the involvement of Bermuda’s junior golfers.

Grand Slam Committee Chairman Neville Tyrrell, Sports Tourism Manager Adam Barboza, Port Royal Director of Golf Andrew Brooks, Port Royal Club President Andrew Woodworth and Quinton Sherlock from the Bermuda Golf Association all participate in the program.

Emmy-award winning television journalist Glenn Jones is the program’s host.

In “Grand Slam: Coming Soon” Mr. Brooks says: “We want everybody to see Port Royal. It’s about broadcasting it out all over the world and letting everybody see what Bermuda has as a golf product.”

“If you went up there last year for the Grand Slam or if you played it at anytime this year, the course is fantastic,” Mr. Barboza says in one segment of the program.  “Through the summer it looked great and even coming out of Igor it still looks fantastic.  I think all credit to the grounds crew up there and all the staff.  They have done a fantastic job.  It truly is one of the best golf courses in the world in my opinion.”

CITV is broadcast on Cablevision channel 2 and on WOW channel 102.
