Thugs rob Pembroke man over weekend

INVESTIGATORS are searching for two hoodlums responsible for the robbery of a 28-year-old Pembroke man.

He told Police that on Sunday at around 2.45 a.m., he was walking along Happy Valley Road in Pembroke when two unknown men approached him.

The culprits assaulted him before escaping on foot with his wallet.

They are described as black men, both wearing helmets, and one taller than the other.

The victim was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.
