Gun WAS fired at Bailey’s Bay, despite Police report

Around 11am on Thursday, Police responded to a reported firearm incident in the North Shore Road, Hamilton parish area near Winton Hill Lane.

It appears that a 21 year old Hamilton parish man was accosted outside his residence by three unknown men brandishing what were believed to be firearms.

While Police officially deny any gun was discharged, ZBM news has reported a gun WAS fired and they interviewed residents confirming this fact.

An ambulance was also seen attending to the area at the time, however it did not appear it picked up anyone.

The surrounding area was thoroughly searched by Police for the assailants. The suspects are described as three men dressed in all black clothing between 5’8” tall and 6’ tall.

An active investigation into this incident is underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Serious Crime Unit on 295-0011 or the independent confidential Crime Stoppers Bermuda hotline on 800-8477.
