(UPDATE) Robber put gun to girl’s head and demanded cell phone

Sunday UPDATE from Police

Around 7:20pm on Saturday, Police responded to a report of a robbery on Par-La-Ville Road in Pembroke.

It appears that four young women aged 15 – 16 years old were walking along Par-La-Ville Road near the junction with Rosebank Road when one of them was accosted by an unknown man brandishing what appeared to be a firearm.

The suspect demanded the teenager’s BlackBerry cellular phone before fleeing the scene on foot with it heading toward Bermudiana Road.

None of the teenagers were injured. The suspect is described as a light brown skinned man, approximately 5’9” tall of medium build wearing a black hooded top and a pair of khaki pants.

Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011 or the independent confidential Crime Stoppers Bermuda hotline on 800-8477.

POLICE are today going all out in search of a gun-wielding robber who is suspected to have target a teenage girl.

Bermuda Wired understands the incident happened last night as a group of three girls left the KFC restaurant on Queen Street, Hamilton.

Suddenly, a man weilding a gun, demanded that one of the girls hand over their cellular phone, which she complied.

The victim is also claiming the attacker put the gun to her head, before he escaped.
