A Government statement says the meeting confirmed Mrs. Minors’ “unwavering commitment to ensuring that Bermuda’s place in the forefront of the global tourism industry — remains a high priority.”

She herself described it as a very productive meeting, noting that the pillar of tourism is a critical one.

And Mrs. Minors hopes she and the hoteliers can continue to work together for the benefit of all concerned.

She met with hoteliers Mike Winfield of Cambridge Beaches, Frank Stocek from Elbow Beach, Jonathan Crellin from Fairmont Hamilton Princess, John Harvey of the Hotel Association and Norm Mastilir of the Fairmont Southampton.
