BGA Hosts Newly Created Bermuda Open Championships

The Bermuda Golf Association (BGA) is pleased to announce the Bermuda Open Championships, an exciting, newly created golf tournament, sponsored by HSBC, which will be played from June 16 to June 19 at the Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton. This brings three former stroke play championships – Professional Open Tournament, Bermuda Amateur Seniors Championship and Bermuda Amateur Stroke Play Championships – into one event. AES completes Bermuda’s first-ever commercial solar energy system

(Hamilton, Bermuda, May 19, 2011) – Local company Alternative Energy Systems (Bermuda) Ltd. (AES) today announces it has completed Bermuda’s first commercial installation of a photovoltaic (PV) solar energy system for Lindo’s Market in Devonshire. Argus cleans up St. David’s Lighthouse Park

Volunteers from the Argus Group carried out a clean-up at St. David’s Lighthouse Park on Friday, May 6 as part of the company’s official adoption of both this park and that at Gibb’s Hill Lighthouse announced in May 2007.  Alison Hill, Chief Executive Officer of the Argus Group, also planted a Bermuda Cedar tree to mark the occassion. In adopting the parks, Argus agreed to help maintain and clean the grounds.
