THEY are the guys who are forced out of bed at 3 a.m. to respond to a major incident of crime that often requires them to put on a brave face beneath hot lights and camera lenses wielded often times by a harsh media.
For many years now, the names “Dwayne Caines” and “Robin Simmons” have almost been synonymous with the fight against crime in Bermuda and the Bermuda Police Service, for which they are employed.
Mr. Caines, also known for his community work with his brother Wayne, studied journalism at University and works as Public and Media Relations Manager for the BPS, alongside Mr. Simmons, a fellow broadcast journalist, who also studied music at University.
Although they might not admit it, the media duo often work long hours day or night, holiday or weekend, to put out the Service’s policy on crime and update the public on what’s going on in Bermuda from the public safety side.
In a thankless place like Bermuda, We say they ought to be honored as Bermuda Wired‘s Persons of the Week.
This is a salute to hard work in Bermuda. Here’s to you, guys!

Bravo. I think the credit is long overdue. Big ups to you guys.
