Crime Stoppers Bermuda is a civilian community service that enables anyone with details of criminal activity to report such information, without fear of exposure, by calling its confidential 24/7 hotline 800-TIPS (8477) or logging on to its new website Rewards of up to $2,000 are offered for information leading to a successful arrest or seizure of illegal drugs or firearms. Additionally, with the financial assistance of several concerned businesses in the community, a reward of up to $100,000 can be made available
for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individual(s) who were involved in firearms incidents.

John Drew, Chairman of Crime Stoppers Bermuda, says: “This annual event is an important part of our awareness raising campaign for our phone line 800-7477 (TIPS) and our website,, which can both be used to confidentially report any details whatsoever about a crime. We want people to ‘step up and speak out’ and, with rising gun crime threatening to divide the community, there has never been a more important time. Our success in uniting the community against criminals relies on our ability to keep Crime Stoppers in the public conscience and we thank the Argus Group for helping us to do that.”

Alison Hill, Chief Executive Officer of the Argus Group, says: “As one of the island’s leading insurance companies, we share Crime Stoppers’ mission of seeking to protect the local community from the tragic consequences  of crime. The resources that Crime Stoppers Bermuda provides are invaluable and we continue to pledge our support for their event, which helps to raise their profile and to focus on keeping Bermuda safe and secure. We also endorse this event as an opportunity for people to come together and get active as both walking and running provide countless health benefits.”
