The Fairmont Southampton today announced the official launch of their rebranded on-property Championship Par 3 golf course as Turtle Hill Golf Club.

Previously known only as The Fairmont Southampton’s Golf Club, the new name and logo will feature on all apparel, advertising and promotional material associated with The Turtle Hill Golf Club.

Fairmont Southampton’s Director of Golf Anthony Mocklow said, “The name Turtle Hill Golf Club captures the authentic Bermudian flavor that we want to project to both our international and local golfers.

“As a Bermudian who is interested in conservation, I believe this represents an opportunity to bring awareness to our phenomenal local efforts to preserve the sea turtle. The rebranding of our Golf Club is yet another milestone in our overall vision to re-energize golf in Bermuda.”

Mr. Mocklow added, “Since 2009 we have been focused on giving the course a total facelift, by planting trees, restructuring the roughs and beautifying the non-playing areas. In 2010 we completely redeveloped our Club House and Resort Golf Shop. In 2011-2012 we embarked on returning to the specifications of golf course architect Ted Robinson, restoring the greens and tee complexes to the original design.”

“Re-launching under the name Turtle Hill Golf Club represents a continuation of our substantial commitment to reenergizing golf in Bermuda. When you combine offerings such as our Resort Golf Shop with the widest array of golf products and apparel on the island;

“The most popular, and exciting, Night Golf, The Bacardi World Par 3 Championships and our value packed Golf Around Getaway Package, this is a very exciting time for Golf at the Turtle Hill Golf Club and The Fairmont Southampton Resort,” said Fairmont Managing Director Bermuda and General Manager of The Fairmont Southampton, George Terpilowski.

The Fairmont Southampton Golf Course has been recognized by Golf Magazine as one of the top 5 Par 3 Courses in the world and is a recipient of Golf Digest’s Best Places to Play Golf Award and is the site of The Bacardi World Par 3 Championships.
