Bermuda CableVision and The Hamilton Seventh Day Adventist Church are teaming up to repeat the festive holiday event they produced last December  – a delicious Christmas Day luncheon for local families and other residents who might not otherwise be able to afford it.

Terry Roberson, General Manager, Bermuda CableVision; Dr. Jeffrey Brown, President of the Bermuda Conference of Seventh Day Adventist Church; Rollin Nathan, Sales Manager, Bermuda CableVision; and Pastor Kenneth Manders, Hamilton Seventh Day Adventist Church.

The Christmas luncheon will be served from 1pm until 3pm on December 25 at the Hamilton Seventh Day Adventist Church on King Street. The spacious church hall can accommodate up to 200 families, and the menu is being planned for a full house.

Recognising the continued level of need in the community since last year’s event, CableVision stepped in to sponsor the Christmas luncheon once again, donating funds to purchase the food, while CableVision employees have enthusiastically volunteered to assist the church members in serving the meals. The luncheon will feature the full traditional Bermuda Christmas menu, with turkey and all the trimmings, as well as savoury vegetarian dishes, and a selection of holiday desserts.

“Everyone should be able to experience the joy of Christmas,” says Terry Roberson, General Manager, Bermuda CableVision, “We look forward to creating a delightful gathering for our special guests on that day with a wonderful meal in a beautiful church hall where everyone will be welcomed with open arms. We are proud to be a part of this event, and would like to thank the Hamilton Seventh Day Adventist Church for making it possible.”

Pastor Kenneth Manders of The Hamilton Seventh Day Adventist Church added: “It is our joy to partner with Cablevision, the proud sponsors of this special Christmas community event. I cannot think of any better way that our church can share God’s joy on Christmas Day, than to welcome our community to a place at our table. Come dine with us, and be blessed! Thank you Cablevision for being part of this great vision to connect with the needs of our community, as we share the joy of Christmas.”

Volunteers and interested persons who wish to find out more or reserve a space are invited to phone the church office at 292-4276.
