The Argus Group today announces a new appointment to its senior management team. Mr. Peter Dunkerley joins the company as Executive Vice President, Finance & Treasury.

In his new role at Argus, Mr. Dunkerley will be responsible for leading and developing the overall implementation of the Group’s new management accounting framework. Mr. Dunkerley will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and the finance team to enable Argus to enhance all aspects of financial reporting and administration.

Mr. Dunkerley brings 15 years of experience in professional practice, with 10 years in the insurance industry. He joins Argus from PricewaterhouseCoopers in Bermuda, where he held various progressive positions leading to the post of Director, Assurance and Business Advisory. In this role he managed a diverse range of financial accounting, audit and business consulting projects encompassing strategic planning, performance measurement, and financial effectiveness.

Alison Hill, Chief Executive Officer of the Argus Group, says: “We are happy to be adding further talent to our senior management team. Peter brings valued financial expertise and knowledge to his role, which will help us meet the ongoing needs of the business. I welcome Peter to the Argus team.”

Mr. Dunkerley holds a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering from Loughborough University in England and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bermuda.
