As a hurricane watch has been issued for Tropical Storm Karl, Argus would like to remind its clients that they can contact the Argus Customer Service Centre on 298-0888 with any questions regarding their insurance cover and for preparation advice and support in advance of the storm’s passing by the Island.

At this time, the storm is expected to gain strength and reach closest contact to Bermuda on Saturday morning, when the Island may experience hurricane-force winds.

Alison Hill, CEO of the Argus Group, says: “While the strength, speed and location of a hurricane determine how badly Bermuda is impacted by its passage, preparation makes a big difference in keeping damage to a minimum. Making plans now is key. Check that your insurance policy is up-to-date and that you are stocked with water, flashlights, candles and medicine. We urge everyone to continue to take these important safeguards. As in any storm, the safety of our community is the number one concern.”
