Murder-accused Kellan Lewis denies causing death of Kellon Hill

Published by Admin on March 11th, 2010
ACCUSED murderer Kellan Lewis today denied stabbing to death, 18-year-old student Kellon Hill almost two years ago.

This information arises out of the proceedings in today's continuation of Lewis' trial in the Supreme Court, according to a ZBM television news report.

Instead of plunging a knife into Mr. Hill's chest at a back-to-school party at Elbow Beach as the Prosecution alleges, Lewis recounted he only gripped the victim after he spat in his face.

As for Mr. Hill's gold chain... the defendant admitted it fell from his neck by accident during the altercation and denied ever targeting the piece of jewelry.

The jury has heard that Mr. Hill was just hours away from flying to the U.S. for higher studies. He bled to death after a bladed article is believed to have pierced his heart.

Lewis, of Sandys Parish, denies the charges of murder and possession of a bladed article in a public place.

The Prosecution is expected to resume its cross-examination of the defendant, who is on the witness stand, tomorrow morning.
