Tourist targeted at Paget hotel

Around 5am on Sunday, Police received a report of a burglary at The Wharf Hotel in Paget. It appears that around 4am an unknown man gained entry into a guest room at the premises. The intruder demanded money from the occupant and made good his escape with a quantity of cash. The victim, a 28 year old Australian man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment. The visitor’s injuries are not life threatening. Thugs rob Pembroke man over weekend

INVESTIGATORS are searching for two hoodlums responsible for the robbery of a 28-year-old Pembroke man. He told Police that on Sunday at around 2.45 a.m., he was walking along Happy Valley Road in Pembroke when two unknown men approached him. The culprits assaulted him before escaping on foot with his wallet. They are described as black men, both wearing helmets, and one taller than the other. SENIOR MAGISTRATE Archibald Warner has delayed sentencing an admitted tourist-robber until social assessments are carried out. Michael Smith, 52, pleaded guilty yesterday to robbing two tourists on Pitts Bay Road on Sunday. COPS are searching for a graveyard robber who wielded a machete during an attack on a 33-year-old Pembroke man. The complainant was walking through the St. John’s Church cemetery in Pembroke at around 6.45 a.m. Saturday, when the crime occurred. SOMERSET Police are searching for the two hooligans responsible for robbing a mini-bus driver of his cash. The victim, 56, was outside the Maximart supermarket on Middle Road in Sandys Parish at around 11:55 p.m. Tuesday. As he was about to enter his vehicle, the men showed up waiving machetes.
